Welcome to the German-Polish New Year’s Eve Seminar!
29.12.2008 - 2.01.2009 in Berlin/Potsdam
"Overcoming Borders - Uniting Europe"
5 days - 30 students – a full programme & most of all plenty of German-Polish cultural exchange!
"Not a Europe of Walls can reconcile along borders, but a continent which takes its borders the separating meaning."
Richard von Weizsäcker (*1920), German politician, 1984-94 President of the Federal Republic of Germany
Today, we live in a free and common Europe – a Europe that hardly knows physical borders and that offers us its greatest gifts liberty and quality of life in a way inexperienced before.
Borders separate, however, Europe unites!
As the young generation is the future of the European continent, this project aims at supporting and promoting them. We are convinced of the fact that the youth of today are the decision makers of tomorrow. They will take the lead in all aspects of life: economy, politics, scientific research, society and culture. Our motivation to act is the union of the former „East” and „West“, the union of Polish and German people in a common, free and prospering Europe.
The seminar „Overcoming Borders – Uniting Europe“ is a German Polish encounter of students and young adults. Our program shall serve the purpose of intercultural communication and shall provide the young decision makers with the necessary competences for it. This is what we stand in for!
